Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandria, has donated his entire private library to the BA, which includes almost 10,000 reference books, dictionaries, and encyclopedias, in addition to his collection of rare books that have been gathered over 60 years.
Elfeki said that the donation comprises several possessions and historical documents, together with a collection of books signed by prominent figures in modern Egyptian history, including manuscripts by Ahmed Urabi, dedications from Moustafa Kamel, and photographs of the life in the aftermath of July 1952.
He asserted that the books will be available to students and researchers, and was pleased to see his personal library residing in the place where he has worked over the past five years.
It is worth mentioning that the donation contains books in Arabic, English, and French, and features a number of biographies of influential historical figures, which Elfeki has collected throughout his outstanding diplomatic journey around the world.
