Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, received Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Samari, Secretary General of King Abdul Aziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah), and his accompanying delegation that included H.E. Osama Al-Nugali, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Egypt, and Mazeed bin Muhammed Al-Hoishan, Saudi Consul General in Alexandria.
Dr. Elfeki highlighted the deep relationships between Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and praised the important role of Darah Foundation in the collection and preservation of manuscripts.
Dr. Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Samari expressed his admiration for the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and its cultural and scientific role, as he toured the Library and was introduced to its specialized libraries and various museums. He also attended a ‘culturama’ show on the history of Egypt from the ancient to the modern period.
Additionally, Dr. Elfeki offered Dr. Al-Samari a number of BA publications such as The Photographic Memory of Cairo, Description of Alexandria, and Alexandria: Past and Present, while the latter granted Dr. Elfeki the shield of King Abdul Aziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah), as well as a book on King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman bin Faisal Al Saud.
