Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the BA, said that the Coronavirus had ended the age of globalization, and that some countries would enter a state of economic self-isolation and would only think within their own national framework.
He added in a TV interview via Skype with host Sherif Amer, as part of the program Yahdouth fi Misr (Happening in Egypt), that the faith in the European Union was shaken and would never be the same again, as the spirit of European solidarity was not manifested amidst the Coronavirus crisis.
Moreover, Dr. Elfeki predicted a silent alliance between China and Russia, and that Europe would suffer. He also noted that China would be eager to play an international role economically, culturally and politically.
