Earlier this year, three new books authored by Dr. Elfeki, were published by the General Authority for Books. Highlighting past lessons, introducing present issues and proposing future visions, the books review and compare the status quo in Egypt, the Arab world, and the international arena.
Entitled “Modern Egypt… New thoughts”, the book sheds lights on present and future issues in Egypt, such as education and scientific research, religious tolerance, modernity and secularism, democracy, elections, and the Parliament. It also attempts to defy some political taboos related to certain political figures and eras.
The second book entitled “Egypt’s Future” recalls heartwarming national slogans and features an outlook on Egypt’s future from the viewpoint of a diplomatic, a politician and an intellectual.
The third book under the title “Arabs and the National Memory” presents several controversial issues concerning Arabs’ past, present, and future. It also touches upon the response of the Arab region to world transformations from China to India and the USA, the state of affairs in neighboring countries such as Iran and Turkey, and the International organizations.
