Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Library of Alexandria, said that Sudan is now inclined to supporting Egypt in the issue of the Renaissance Dam, in contradiction to Omar Al-Bashir’s regime, which was always pushing the Sudanese people to believe in a historical dilemma with Egypt.
He referred, in a TV interview with host Sherif Amer, as part of the program
Yahdoth fi Masr (Happening in Egypt), to the fact that if it were not for President El-Sisi, the Renaissance Dam crisis would not have been internationalized, noting that President El-Sisi raised the Dam issue before the UN General Assembly last year. ElFeki maintained that the Renaissance Dam would not have seen the light today, if Egypt had taken a strong stance against it 10 years ago.
