Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Library of Alexandria, said that the case of the Renaissance Dam is currently more important to Egypt than what is happening in the neighboring countries, noting that Sudan’s stance regarding the issue of the Dam is quite encouraging.
He added, in a TV interview with host Sherif Amer, as part of the program Yahdoth fi Masr (Happening in Egypt), that Egypt could present a procedural offer to Ethiopia to return to the point where the negotiations of the Renaissance Dam last ended in Washington. He also highlighted the fact that Ethiopia was proceeding well with the negotiations, but was then instigated to thwart them.
