Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Library of Alexandria, mourns the loss of General Mohammed El-Assar, one of the leading military figures in Egypt, who dedicated his life to serving his country. General El-Assar was a patriotic man of great eminence, honesty, integrity, and vision.
Dr. Elfeki expresses his deep sadness for the death of his life-long friend, as both of them were colleagues in primary, preparatory, and secondary school. Although they parted ways during their college years, they remained friends, while working hard in their respective fields.
