In his latest interview with Sherif Amer on MBC Masr, Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Library of Alexandria, said that the Arab region had lost a wise man on the passing of Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait. He noted that the Emir was the man of reconciliations in the region, and was well intentioned and an articulate speaker who placed his country in a good position among the countries of the world.
He added: “When Nasser died, it was the Emir of Kuwait who last bid him farewell. It is strange that the Emir of Kuwait dies on the death anniversary of Nasser, and this shows the strong and deep-rooted historical connection between the two countries.”
