Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Library of Alexandria, said that the Egyptian food aids sent to South Sudan symbolized the brotherly relations between the two countries, noting that South Sudan does not currently have a clear role regarding the issue of the Renaissance Dam, but will have an important part to play in the future.
He asserted, during his interview with Sherif Amer on MBC, that Egypt had been keen to maintaine its historical relations with both Sudan and South Sudan, highlighting the fact that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi utilized intelligently his presidency of the African Union for the benefit of Egypt.
In addition, he pointed out that President Sisi is paying for the mistakes of his predecessors. He also condemned all former Ministers of Irrigation who wasted many opportunities to resolve the Renaissance Dam crisis.
