Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandria, inaugurated “Ibero-American Cities” photo exhibition, with the participation of ambassadors and representatives of 15 countries from Latin America, Spain, and Portugal. Elfeki hoped that this exhibition would be the beginning of further cooperation between the BA and the embassies of Latin countries. Ambassador Ashraf Mounir, Deputy Assistant Foreign Minister for Latin Affairs, and José Octavio Tripp, the Ambassador of Mexico to Egypt, took part in the event.
The embassies of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic, and Uruguay participated in the exhibition by presenting three photos of three cities and landscapes from each country.
The exhibition runs until 22 October 2021, at the BA.
It is worth mentioning that this cultural initiative comes as part of the activities of “Ibero-American Week in Alexandria”, which is held from 19 to 28 October 2021.
In addition to the photo exhibition, a series of meetings with representatives of the governorate of Alexandria and businessmen is expected to take place, together with university activities, the Ibero-American cinema week, and “Ibero-American Heroes” digital competition, which is co-organized by the Spanish Premier League (LaLiga).
