Dr. Moustafa Elfeki visits Greece next week where he is expected to hold several high profile meetings, on top of which is his meeting with the President of Greece, Mr. Prokopios Pavlopoulos, on Tuesday, 27 August 2019, accompanied by H.E. Ambassador Mohamed Farid Mounib, the Egyptian Ambassador to Greece. Dr. Elfeki’s schedule includes a meeting with the Executive Council of the World Digital Library. Dr. Elfeki will also chair the annual meeting of the Board of Directors of the Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies, which was established as part of the cooperation between the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Marianna V. Vardinoyannis Foundation (as a donor) and Alexandria University (as an academic entity). The Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies attracts researchers from all over the world to obtain diplomas and master's degrees in Hellenistic studies that cover four main fields: history and literature, art, archaeology and architecture, philosophy, science.
Dr. Elfeki will also meet with Ms. Lina Mendoni, the Greek Minister of Culture, Mrs Marianna V. Vardinoyannis, Founder and President of the “Marianna V. Vardinoyannis Foundation”, Mr. Constantinos Tsoukalas, President of the Board of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture, Mr. Anthony Papadimitriou, President of the Onassis Foundation, and Dr. George Manginis, Academic Director of the Benaki Museums, to discuss the means of cooperation between the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and these prestigious Greek institutions.
