Dr. Moustafa Elfeki: We are Focusing on Policy Papers, Mediterranean Relations and the Connection with Scholars Abroad

Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, stressed that the BA Center for Strategic Studies aims at presenting policy papers to decision makers in different cases, as well as enriching strategic thinking through annual conferences, publications, the engagement with scholars abroad or the cooperation with research centers. This was part of the meeting held by the Advisory Board of the Center for Strategic Studies.

Elfeki: the BA is a beacon of knowledge

Dr. Moustafa Elfeki noted that the BA is a beacon of knowledge, and a bridge between cultures and civilizations, as it believes in the interaction between culture and all developmental sectors and their role in the promotion and advancement of Arab nations. He also added that the BA has several partnerships with countries and Arabic institutions in the field of cultural heritage, and that it will be more open to the Arab World through its future activities.

Dr. El Feki Convenes with Members of CHLS

During a meeting with a group of members of the Coptic Heritage Lovers Society (CHLS), Dr. Mostfa el Feki, Director of the BA, affirmed that prejudice, extremism, and terrorism are the outcomes of ignorance and the lack of culture. He added that terrorist groups are mere mobs that use religion to cause strife among the Egyptian community and to primarily cause havoc and destruction in the whole world.

El Feki Participates in Rimini Meeting

Dr. Mostafa el Feki, Director of the BA, is participating in this year’s round of the annual “Rimini Meeting for friendship among peoples” held in the Italian city of Rimini from 21 to 26 August 2017. Dr. El Feki will give a speech at the meeting’s closing session focusing on the consequences of Pope Francis’ visit to Egypt last April. Ahram Al-Arabi 's literary editor Sayed Mahmoud will also give a speech on how social media press dealt with the Pope’s visit.
